Hi everyone, Back again with a small update and a new question. As most of you know it's been cold lately so I haven't spent much time in the garage working on my "57" Dexta diesel engine.
Got the block stropped down and the head removed and striped, found out that the engine has been worked on before and missing two head studs (they put in bolts in there place) and signs are that, that is the bad cylinder causing my problems.
Going to remove the front end and pull the engine as soon as it worms up a little. But dose anyone know where I can find new head studs? The two bolts were over torqued compared to the rest of the head and I could have a warped head (the machine shop will tell me for sure when I get it checked). Also dose anyone know where I can download a parts manual online for free?
Hopefully I will have the block and head in the machine shop by Christmas. Walt
