Fordson Dexta Wiring

So I bought a wiring loom from agriline for my 62 dexta along with an ignition switch, starter solenoid and control box. This seemed the best option because as agriline make all the parts the parts should all slot together easily - wrong. my problem is the switch, i can't get the switch to work properly as the terminals on the switch don't match up to the wiring loom ends. i was just wondering if anybody had any experience wiring up the dexta with the ignition/light switch that could point me in the right direction?

at the moment we also have no dash lights working

Hi Hugh, wecome to the wonderful world of Agriline were nothing fits right. Restoring a 1962 DEXTA
at the moment for my wife and bought a few parts from agriline and none of them fit. The indicator
lights on the dash panel have to be insulated from the holders. I made my own wiring harness and
managed to save the old indicator lights original bulb holders. Other Agriline parts that did not
fit are top link mounting bracket, PTO guard, water temp gauge also engine pre combustion chambers.
I have had some very good parts from Vapormatic and I bought a nose cone from sparex and I am
pleased how well it fitted. MJ

Yeah tell me about it! I mean it sounds crazy to me that they sell all the electrical components and then don't just say which pins on a switch to put the contacts onto in the same way they do with the regulator box!

I haven't used sparex or vapourmatic yet! are the parts quite available from them or do you need trade accounts?

Hi Hugh were are you located?, Vapormatic are owned by John Deere so you may get some help from your
local dealer. A lot of farm machinery dealers here in the UK also sell Sparex parts. MJ
