Simms injector pump - Fordson major

Have a spare parts engine and wondered if the Simms injectors and injector pump was interchangeable, my numbers on my 55 fordson Major numbers are SPE 4A75S647 and the one off the spare is SPE4A75s647. the head on the spare has a 6 bolt valve cover(FL on the head casting) and my Major has the 2 bolt one( 2E on the casting)- Pumps look identical

i have been talking with a retired mechanic and he said that the major is about the best cold starter of all time , he asked have you checked that lift pump is working ok

seems to be, I can bleed the system with it by the hand pump lever , could try swapping that with the other one, going to check the tappet settings this morning.
