Help! I have a jubilee that doesn't want to go into gear on the pto shift. I have used this tractor for bushoging for somewhere around 20 years now. I have built the trans with all new bearings around 4 years ago. It started not wanting to go back into gear when the pto was shiften in neutral a while back. I split the tractor and put new bearings in the transmission pto shifter housing (bolts to rear of trans and holds the countershaft bearing), replaced the bushing in the rear end housing and replaced the bearing in the rear bracket where the pto exits. IT still shifted in hard with the bushog on. Today I shifted it out and it would not go back in. I pulled the side plate off (with the shifter lever) and could not budge the shift detent rod, then split the tractor and still could not find anything wrong. Pulled the detent ball, put the shifter back on and it seemed to work fine. I could not find any noticable play in the countershaft. Whats wrong!

Mr Kendall is an excitable chap to say the least. He is amongst the last of a dying breed of farmer who
