I have a 1962 Ford 4000 Industrial with a front-end loader. Tractor is gray/blue, although the loader is a pale yellow color. Does anybody know the correct name or code for the loader? It is a bit rusty and I would like to touch it up (stuff you buy off of the shelf is too yellow).

Thanks

It might not be a stock color, but that code should tell any PPG dealer how to mix it.

Looking at the PPG website.. looks like that color does not exist. Any ideas?

I am pretty sure that at the time that it was called "buff" yellow. It certainly rocked my world when suddenly my gray and red Fords changed color.

Thank you showcrop, I could not remember buff. I seem to recall someone had posted up a color number a while back. I did a search, but a lot of the older posts seem to be missing. I will have to look through my notes and see if I even jotted it down.

Hello,Depending on when in 1962 it was built, Prior to July 1962 it would be either a 4040 (Heavy Industrial) or 4030 (Light Industrial), both would come in the maze (light pale yellow) & red paint scheme. If after July of 1962 then it would be either a 4140 (Heavy Industrial) or 4130 (Light Industrial), both would come in the maze (light pale yellow) & blue paint scheme. Someone (maybe TJ) had posted up the maze color number on this site a while back. Loaders were painted in the Maze color.
