vertical exhaust

I would get it above head level so you wont be constantly breathing in exhaust as you do your work. Just remember the higher you go the more likely it will be to snag branches, trees, etc.

All of my open station tractors end at about eye level. The exhaust is shooting up fairly fast as it comes out and it is pretty rare for it to turn around and come back down. Cab tractors usually have them just about even with the top of the cab.

Just high enough to catch the low hanging branch when you're mowing! That's the biggest problem I've had with vertical exhaust and have cut mine down for that reason.
