4000 (4140) hd front hydraulic hub

I bought my 4140 not running and have gotten it back together. One issue I am fighting is the front hd pump hub keeps letting the drive yoke slip out. I tried buying a new hub, but I can t find one with a set screw. I m not sure if they are supposed to have one or not, but the one on there now does. The threads don t go all the way through though for the set screw, so I m not sure if it s for something else. It s also the square style, I m not sure it s original. I tried replacing the rubber inserts but the yoke slipped out again still. What am I doing wrong?

I did have the yoke off the crank and pump at one point, is it possible it s too far forward on the pump shaft?

Or that I have the wrong hub

I am assuming the shaft is correct but the hub is not, though things could have been changed. I pulled the shaft out a little to show it is splined. I am wondering if it doesn t need the rubber bushings, or if I need a spacer behind that to push the hub adapter out a little more. But with that being a double u joint, I m not sure it needs the rubber part, but have no idea what it would require

I don't know why it's coming loose but you appear to have the right parts for the
4140 heavy duty hydraulic package, no extra spacers and so forth shown.

I can't tell whether it's just the angle that the picture was taken from, but it looks like the coupler that's bolted to the crankshaft pulley is mounted at an angle, like the rubber bushing on the bolt behind the coupler closest to the top of the picture is either deteriorated or missing altogether.

They got destroyed, I think I will spend the money on an OEM on since they have them still.. those little bushings don't seem like they are the correct size as they fall out kind of easily.

Thank you for that diagram, I had found it once but couldn't find it again. I also see the filter set up I have too.

Missing the crank pulley but here are a couple pictures from
May when I was replacing engine mounts on my HD Industrial. I
changed the u-joint on the shaft that runs the pump.
