1981 Ford 3600 Power Steering fluid

Hi Folks,

There are old post on this topic but I can't quite land on an answer. The manual calls for M2C41-a, which I guess has been updated to a different oil. Can I use my Kubota brand hydraulic fluid to top it off? If not, is there something I can get a Walmart or an auto store?

The Kubota oil will work fine. Meets or exceeds M2C41 A.

Or you can use whatever you're using in the rear end/hydraulic sump.

That spec is for a very low grade atf fluid... I believe it crossed to either type b or later type f atf. so basically you can pretty much run any modern atf, power steering fluid, utf, hydraulic fluid in it and still exceed that spec of a 20wt ND oil with a red dye. But you really dont need the red dye for it to work.
