I just got a ford 3000 diesel I think it is in early 70s how can I find the year thanks Ray

The year can be determined from the serial
number. If you find the unit number, it
will tell the exact date it rolled off the
assembly line.
The numbers are stamped in the
bellhousing, just above and to the rear of
the starter. If it's new enough, and the
tag hasn't fallen off, the same numbers
will be stamped on a foil tag on the
underside of the hood.

Check for a foil tag under the hood and numbers stamped into the clutch housing behind the starter
