Ford 555B vs 445 Steering motor (orbital valve)

Does any know if there is a difference between the steering motors under the steering wheel between these 2 machines? I took my 555b steering motor apart and cracked the "Commutator", part number 279174. I have a parts machine (445) and was hoping to swap that steering motor over to the 555b. Or if anyone has a commutator that they would sell for less than the $200+ that NH wants for it.

I see on NH parts site that the motors have different part numbers, but they share a ton of the same internals, and look very similar.

Thanks!

It's been a while, but I want to say your steering motor on the 555b was made by Ross Hydraglide, Model HGA. Someone posted a link to the latest parts resource. Ross was sold to TRW, then to Parker and is now owned or distributed by QCC. https://www.qcc.parts/store/HGA-c34396080/

You can call QCC for a price or look around for someone selling Hydraglide parts. The HGA was used by a lot of different manufacturers for a long time. Messicks parts lookup says the commutator is the same in both your motors. You can verify for yourself. My guess is the part no-s for the complete unit are different because the housings are a bit different, but don't hold me to that.
