Ford 4000 SOS 3cyl servo #1

While replacing the gasket on the cover plate for the #1 servo my helper moved the small piece on the end of the push rod and it disappeared (fell) and I can't find it now. I suspect that it is in the bottom of the transmission. Do I have to remove the steering housing to find it? As of now I can not find a good diagram of what the piece or mechanism looks like.

Is Key# 33, part #C5NN7N158A what you are looking for?

wore out thank you for that diagram. Item # 33 is what I am missing. Maybe with a magnet I might be able to retrieve it but if I can't, can it be done by removing the steering column?

I m not sure about #1 band but I dropped the band pawl off of # 2 band in the SOS I had
Had to do a rear split and disassemble part of the back section of the trans to find and reinstall the pawl

Indeed you can access the front components with the steering box out. You can't pull them out, but you can
get your hands on them. Re-installing a dropped strut should be a piece of cake.
