I'm looking to purchase A 445 with a model KD311F .can you tell me what exactly the motor and transmission are? Also what do you think it's worth 1900 hrs. Gannon. Needs a new rear tire...

KD311F is a 445 model tractor with a 183 cubic inch 3 cylinder diesel engine (4.2" bore x 4.4" stroke), no PTO and a 4x4 torque converter auto reversing transmission.

As to what it's worth, that varies depending on what part of the country you're in. Needing a rear tire drops the value by at least $500.00 right off the bat. Does it just have the Gannon box, or does it also have a loader?

Second 1 - no PTO
F - 4x4 torque converter auto reversing transmission

The 4x4 auto reversing transmission did not have a PTO option.

So this is a 4x4? Or 4 forward 4 reverse transmission

It does not have 4 wheel drive.

The main shifter has 4 speeds, all of which drive the tractor in the same direction depending on the lever next to the steering column, which switches the transmission between forward and reverse, so it has 4 forward gears and 4 reverse gears. That is what is meant by 4x4 auto reversing transmission. The lever on the left of the steering column controls a hydraulic valve that controls clutch packs that engage the input shaft of the transmission between the forward and reverse gears.

All of the transmissions available on those old Ford tractors were listed as the total number of forward gears x the total number of reverse gears. The "8 speed" transmission was an 8x2, with 4 forward and 1 reverse speed on the main shifter and hi/low ranges on the secondary shorter shifter, giving a total of 8 forward and 2 reverse gears.

Value depends on location and condition. Investigate validity of the low hours. Ford tach hour meters often fail and are replaced. Value is approximately $5000, more for high condition and for cab with heat. Lower for poor condition.

Does the lack of a PTO affect your intended use for the tractor? A PTO cannot be added to that transmission.
