Ford 7600 Fuel Tank Removal Dual Power

Thought my fuel tank was leaking from the bottom where supply fitting goes in. Started disassembling and realized I couldn t get dual power lever loose to remove cowal. Anyone ran into this issue before? Thanks and Happy New Year!

More than once I have had to heat the handle with a torch to get it off.
I assume you drove the roll pin out.

Yes sir! Got the roll pin out. What do you do to protect cowl from heat if you use a torch? Thanks!

I used a small tip for a brief period of time, never really had an issue with scorching the paint. If you
are concerned about that, a piece of sheet metal and some tin snips should be all you would need to fashion
up a suitable deflector.
