They have what they called a Thermo Start.
There is an electric heater in the intake manifold that when you electrify it it allows a bit of diesel in the small tube leading to it to leak into the manifold and catch on fire.
I have it on my 3000 but never hooked it up when I rewired the tractor.
I have a block heater.
Last week it was minus 5 here.
I plugged it in for an hour or two and the engine started like it was July.
