NAA replacement radiator

The best replacement is to recore the one you have. BTDT. You might have to drive a couple of hours to find a shop that will do it, but that's better than getting a replacement that doesn't fit and having to return it.

> How about the radiators this site sells? Anyone bought one from here?

Yes. I purchased a 'restoration grade' radiator from YT. It was drop-shipped from Dennis Carpenter. It did not fit and was damaged when I received it. I returned it and YT refunded me the purchase price. YMMV.

I would much rather be able to report that the radiator I bought from our hosts worked perfectly, but that was not my experience. There are other suppliers of new radiators mentioned in the discussion threads below, but I have no experience with those vendors. I think it's safe to assume they all sell imported knock-off radiators whose quality is most likely inferior to the originals.

YT is not a parts manufacturer, simply a 3rd party supplier and sell from various others, not just one. Strange, Denny C usually has good quality parts and I know other Cheena made suppler units are junk. If the part was damaged when you received it, you certainly can't blame Carpenter for that, and, if damaged, why did you even try to assemble it? Was it the correct part number- NAA-8005-B? See? Just saying. They could say YOU damaged it. Can't open your chapters, whatever those are. Though not easy to find a radiator shop these days, rebuilding original parts is always the best choice on these old FORDS. You can't get around repop parts now exclusively made in Cheena today, and you're not going to find any USA made manufacturers anymore though the US President from 2016-2020 was bringing back manufacturing from foreign lands until current cartel czar stopped that.

Yep, finding a radiator shop still doing business is rare as hen's teeth nowadays. That being said, repairing/rebuilding an original part is always the best choice when
working on these old FORDs. I found a guy working out of his barn that repairs radiators and had him do an 8N and a '84 M-F for me, good work, both still in service, and
was very reasonable. I'm in rural Thumb area of Michigan if you want his info. Sometimes you can find a gas tank repair place that also does radiators too - call around.

DC shipped the part in a damaged condition. It clearly had been previously installed, and the lower mounting bracket, which was much thinner than the original part, and been bent by overtightening. I didn't notice it until I'd already tried to install the shroud, which didn't fit. I suspect DC touched up the paint and repackaged the part. This is all described, with a picture, the thread I linked in my post as '<a href=https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=ford&th=699046>Chapter Four</a>'. (All four links open up fine on my browser.)

No part number on the radiator. It is marketed by YT as fitting pretty much every Ford built from '53 through '64 and a direct replacement for a slew of part numbers, including NAA-8005-B. <a href=https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/Ford-4000_Radiator_C5NN8005AB.html>Ford Restoration Quality Radiator</a>

Oh boy, you really are delusional. Actually most of the Ford radiators seem to be made in India or Turkey, possibly because there's local demand for them.

I hope it works out for you. Let us know how it goes. Be sure and replace the rubber mounts at the top and bottom of the radiator. Don't overtighten the mounting bolts, as it's easy to damage the radiator, particularly the aftermarket ones. Replace these parts, at the minimum:

Who is ACS? Not familiar with them.
