Put a 66 snowblower on my 841 Ford last week. I had to put a remote hydraulic unit on also to turn the chute. Every thing seemed to work fine. I parked it in a shed and today I started it and the 3pt
wouldn't raise. Hydraulic fluid level is ok and the remote is turning the chute smoothly. After I put it in the shed last week, friday's temperature fell to zero ,next 2 days about 10 ,today it is 20 so I
tried to use it but it won't lift. I've mowed with this 841 for years and the 3pt has always worked well. Any suggestions appreciated.

You might have some water in the hyd oil that has froze so the control valve will not move or other such type ice related problem. If you can maybe put a tarp over it and a heater under the tarp to warm it up and then try and see if it works. A number of years ago my 841 would not turn over unless I had the clutch pedal down and would stall if I let the pedal up. I had ice in the transmission so I thawed it out and drain it and filled it with fresh oil and if has worked ever since

Try opening the bleeder on the pump (while it's running). It's about a 3/8 Allen, if I recall. I do remember that it is the one facing the engine, such that no normal Allen wrench or socket will fit. I keep a piece of an Allen wrench cut about 3/4 long in my tool box for occasions like this (turn it with a wrench).

He states the aux hyd works so it has to be some place other then hyd pressure/air in the system

enough oil to move the auxilary hydraulics slow, but to much air to move the unloading valve. Happen a couple days ago on the 641:-12 degrees and 50 mph wind. Brrrrrrrr!!!! Even hydraulic oil doesn't like that kind of weather. It's probably time to replace some parts on a 60 year old tractor.

Or fire it up and let it warm up for a bit. My 841 the 3 point will lift well by way of me starting it but if it starts fast the 3 point might take 2-5 minutes to lift all the way and it has been this way for over a decade now
