Ford 600-134 cu inch Napa part # list

HiYa Tom -
Well, if you have your 53-59 MPC handy, you can get every part number in there with exploded part system views. FORD part numbers should be used no matter where you shop. Best to invest in all the ESSENTIAL MANUALS for you tractor if ya don't already have them. ALL FORD Tractors from '39 thru '64 spec'd for the Champion H10, 14mm Spark Plug. Since then Champion released a better, hotter plug, the H12. The AUTO-LITE 437 Plug is a good alternative as well. Today the Champion H12 is also listed as the 512 p/n and the AUTO-LITE 437 is also listed as p/n 216. Firing order is 1, 2, 4, 3 CW. You need to verify your wiring is correct as well. Are you set up for the original 6V/POS GRN system or has a 12V switch out job been done? It matters. Ya gotta know what you are set up for. Regardless if you are using 6V or 12V, you will need the document by JMOR, WIRING PICTOGRAMS as well especially if a 12V system to use as your wiring roadmap. Your manuals have the proper method for a tuneup and setting timing correctly. Don't guess.

Tom, 6V or 12V matters not with the distributor. There are no separate 6V and 12V parts. Tuneup parts are all the same; the electrical system is all the same from 1953 thru 1964. You rebuild and time the distributor as per your Manuals. For a 12V switchover job, the GEN and the Voltage Regulator are removed from the circuit. Replace the coil with a tested 12V coil. One big mistake is leaving the VR in the circuit. The next big mistake is not having a fan belt tensioning bracket for the GEN and the ALT. Without proper belt tension, you will never charge the battery. The OEM Generator has an attached saddle mount belt tensioner and won't work on an ALT. 12V ALT kits may have a belt tensioner but not all do so it matters where you but from. This is why one needs the ESSENTIAL MANUALS so that you know how the OEM 6V/POS GRN system is set up and functions. This also why many fellas have non-starting issues when they attempt a 12V switch over job. It won't start on 6V if wiring is mucked up so they assume they need to go to 12V. There's nothing wrong with 12V (nothing wrong with 6V either) just be sure the wiring is all correct for the system you use. Incorrect lighting setups are also a big culprit for electrical shorts and non-starting when wiring either system. Taking shortcuts too are not recommended like JMOR shows in his 12V 600 setup discarding the safety start pushbutton. See if ts helps you.
