We saved it! But what is it?

Our Fire Dept. responded to a garage fire last night. It is an oversized 2.5 bay 2.5 deep 1.5 story. When the overhead doors were removed I could see this 4 cyl Ford. it is apparently an 801. It has hydraulics but also has a heavy one piece front axle. I could see no 1801 frame. The fire was contained to the rear of the building, mainly on the second level, and the Ford did not appear to be damaged.

Light industrial.
Thet built them both red and blue -
2000/4000
My pal Ken had a 2000. It had the heavier
rear axle of the 8xx/4000s. He put a 172
diesel from a stationary in it.
Nice machine.

To make matters worse, the parts pages for the 1801 tractors now shows the light industrial front axle and steering and not the heavy industrial setup, which as I understand it is completely backwards, as the 1801 series was never offered in a light industrial version, only the heavy industrial version. It was only when they switched the industrial series over to the 2000/4000 model designations that they began offering the light industrial version. So the folks running the parts web page are rewriting history.

Well done, he did a nice job on that. The red/yellow ones were 2030 and 4030 and the blue/yellow ones were 2130 and 4130. Judging by the red color, I'm thinking the one in the garage is either a light duty industrial 2000 2030 or light duty industrial 4000 4030. Still looks like it is very repairable, wheel weights, 24 rear tires. They dont make them like that anymore, hopefully someone will put it back together. Do hate to hear of such things, hopefully no one was hurt and that everything can be repaired. Holiday blessing to you and yours and a better 2023.
