The original subject was Re: 3550 oil check..

My model K5011F serial # C429973 has the left brake has
the left side hand brake.
It shows the rear differential level plug should be
higher than the plug buried by the foot rest.

Where it shows the plug I have a flow control or something.

Any idea where my level plug might be?

On rite side a little farther back is a square head plug, maybe hex socket head and a slotted head screw, DO NOT remove slotted screw. Thats how my 3400 is.

Thanks. I must be getting crosseyed. I haven't seen it yet.
I hate to ask, could you get a picture of your plug?

Is your plug up above the foot rest?

Could this be new enough to have a dipstick on the trans filler cap? and all compartments connected together? In which case there will be NO check plug on the side anymore. 445s were '78-'85 iirc. Just saying...

I don't believe that the trans and rear end had a common sump on any 3 cylinder models, at least well into the '80's or maybe the '90's. Definitely not on a 3550.
