ford 4000 clutch in, grinds and wont go in gear

all fluids are good. seems if its hot, itll work, but when cold....forget it. i have to put the idle to almost nothing just to get it in gear with a grind. use the tractor for about 30mins, everything warms up, coming to a stop and it goes a full length of the tractor with peddle down before it disengages. sometimes i just stand on the brakes and clutch to disengage it!
???
clutch plates?

Could be a clutch disk that has oil on it of a pilot bearing problem either one heat frees things up

if... once you break it loose, its stays broke till you park it again. It could be the clutch plate rusting to the flywheel.. Especially after a rainy period. This is not uncommon on these tractors. Again, one your break it loose, its fine till parked for a period on time, usually several weeks or months for it to stick again. Things like oil leakage can also make it act up, but usually will do this for a long period in the day, till you burn off the oil then act ok.. Next day you start all over again as the oil leaked out over night?? A broke pressure plate will ALWAYS act up due to broken springs or finger etc.

yes, clutch was adjusted in both directions with no change.
It sat for 5 months. started it and it grinds. I have to let the engine warm up for about 5-10 mins in the barn to a point before I can even try to grind it in gear with idle as low as it can go. it likes going in reverse better than it does 1st.
once i bush hog for 2 hours, when I come to stop, itll go a full length of the tractor before it disengages with idle as low as I can make it. even then, sometimes I jam the brakes on it to free it up to stop.

I'd say anything else would just be temporary. Is it leaking anything into the bellhousing area? I know some have blocked the clutch pedal and sprayed brake cleaner in the clutch are to try and clean things up.
