2600 Hydraulic Question

I have one of these blocks on my 2600 diesel which powers my FEL, I have quick connects on the lines and loop them when I remove my loader. I want to know if I can remove the top plate and install one of these on top of the block. This way I could power my log splitter with the lines at the rear.

Use the plate that powers loader to run splitter. Most have same style valve as loader except single spool instead of double.

Yes, that remote valve will replace the original factory blocking plate that is on top of the HV4902 adapter plate. If you want to be able to run the log splitter when the loader is attached, then that is the way to do it.

If you only want to run the log splitter when the loader is not attached to the tractor, then you can use the HV4902 adapter plate to power the splitter and save yourself the cost of the remote valve.

The short answer is yes.
However, I like the idea of using the quick connects for the loader valve to power the splitter. As long as you have a valve on
the splitter, the loader supply could be used to supply it, cheaply. It's still going to be painfully slow unless you have a
splitter with a regen valve.

What I'm doing now is using the loader hoses to power the splitter, This becomes a lot of hoses that I'd like to shorten and make it simpler. The ports on the aluminum block face forward towards the loader. I do have long hoses on my splitter which I run up over the fender and connect to the quick disconnects, loader hose have the disconnects 1/2 way in the hose so I can loop together when the loader is off. It would be much neater and simpler if I had a set of plug ins at the back of the tractor for the splitter. With the long hoses it's a pain when I move the tractor around with the splitter attached, worried about hoses getting in the rtres, 3 point and under the brake pedal.
When my loader is off in order to loop the hoses I made a U out of pipe fittings and it's mounted on the tractor so I just connect my hoses to it and they stay neatly in place and allow my 3 point to work as it should.

Been running my splitter for years by hooking to the hoses off of the block. Works plenty fast, it's a County Line from TSC. not sure what you mean by a regen valve.

Regenerative valves take the return flow of
the cylinder stroke and redirect it into
the inlet flow to increase work port flow.
It can increase splitter speed by 30-40%
depending on the rod size.

Another question about the remote valve. To activate the remotes does that lever stay in the active position or do you have to hold it there with a bungee or something?

If the splitter has its own control valve, then you will need to use a bungee to hold the remote valve handle open while using the log splitter.

Yes the splitter has it's own valve. So that valve would actually be able to control a cylinder if I wanted to use an adjustable top link or another cylinder on the rear? Does it have double action capabilities or just single?

The description in the link for the remote valve that you provided says "Single Spool, Single/Double Acting". Single spool means that it can control a single circuit. Single/Double Acting means that it can be configured for either power up & gravity down type of operation (single acting) or power in both directions (double acting). I'm not familiar with that particular remote valve, but you usually turn a screw to switch them between single and double acting.

old post but I thought I'd give an update. I ordered the rear remote valve and stacked it on my block. Installation was simple, just needed a couple of bolts. Valve came with no instructions and the company linked to a real hack Youtube video. Pretty straight forward except the first valve they sent was different than the pics and had a different handle. With the first valve the handle pushed down to work and it hit right on the parking brake handle. Took pics and sent it to them and they sent me the other design valve with the handle that moved front to back. Swapped it out and it all works as it should. I do put a strap on the handle to use my splitter. I can leave my splitter hooked up and easily move the tractor where before I had these long hoses I had to worry about getting caught on something. My splitter works fine, plenty of power and it's fast enough for me.
