1972 2000 brakes

I need to do brakes on my 1972 2000 and my friend's 3600. The yt site says to measure brake width before ordering, but it sure would be a lot
simpler to have them on hand before we pull the hub. Are they 1 1/2 or 2. Or is there a chance for either. Thanks all.

The best advice is to measure them.... because there's no telling what's in there otherwise. IIRC, there is about 4 different shoes that could be there depending on vintage and shoe width.

It is better to wait once rather than send the wrong ones back and wait twice.

Thanks! I am surprised there is that much variation but they were made in 3 different countries so I guess that might explain it.

On my 2000 I gambled and have a extra set on the self... I kept them thinking its a good chance they will fit my 3000 if needed.

The width was the same the shoes would not mount up : ( I don't remember measurements being an issue. I would not order till I matched a pix up.
