Ford 860 remote two-spool hydraulic valve kit help neede

I have a Ford 800 that came with a loader but has a crazy external hydraulic setup. Where the block-off plate would be is a diverter with handle and a high-pressure hose going to the loader controls. When the diverter handle is facing forward, this pressurizes the hydraulic line to the loader but the 3PH is not under pressure. When the handle is in its normal seated position, the 3PH is pressurized but the loader is not. And the return line coming out of the loader controls returns to the hydraulic lift fill cap. The center of the fill cap is drilled and tapped for " NPT, and the return hose is screwed directly into it. This setup has me thoroughly confused.

The loader works great but I would like to use the tractor s hydraulics to occasionally run a log splitter and quick connect to either the log splitter or loader controls. I recently purchased a remote two-spool hydraulic valve kit to replace the diverter setup, but it came with no installation instructions or how to use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The handle when pushed forward opens the rear port, when pushed to the rear it opens the forward port. The handle is spring loaded and centers itself in a neutral position. I m assuming I want the regulator valve closed for double acting use with the loaders controls(?). Which port on the remote valve kit should I route to the loader controls for high pressure and which port would be for the return? Would the handle need to be braced open (in either direction) to use the loader controls? How will this affect the raising and lowering of the 3PH? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -

What you have is a farmer's "cheapest solution" for powering a loader with that tractor.

You can use either port on one of the remote valves to power the loader, but you'll need to use a bungee cord to hold the remote valve open in the correct direction for the fluid to pump out of the port you have connected to the loader control valve's input side. Connect the output port of the loader control valve to the other port on the remote valve. You will need to remove the bungee cord to operate the 3 point lift, and probably when you want to operate the other remote valve as well.

This is great news, thanks Sean. What about the adjustable regulating valve, leave that closed or open?

Here is the regulating valve in question

I have no idea what that regulator valve is for, or how you would plumb it into the system. if you have a true two spool remote valve, that is all you should need. Replace the diverter valve with the dual spool remote valve and hook it up the way I described.

i believe the screw with the roll pin you have circled, can be be turned the way open or closed to convert that valve to
single action cylinder. seems like i remember that valve from somewhere. good luck

Thanks Sean, I'll give it a try. Tractor is at a remote location and will be a few days before I can get to it and plumb the
hoses.
