Ford 2000 lift arms limited movement

I just bought a Ford 2000 3-cyl. The lift arms only raise 11 inches?

What is going on? Pull the lift cover and re-seal the lift cylinder?

If you move the lift leaver past the top stop and the arms come up yes the lift cover needs to come off. More than likely the cam follower pin is worn out. First make sure the big draft spring on the external rear of the lift cover does not have a lot of slack in it.

If you go to the Fordson board on this site you will find a post called 'Tractor Identification' It will show you some pictures of your problem and how to cure it. The tractor is not quite the same as yours, but the lift is very similar.
