7000 injection pump

Finally getting back to the 7000 after
chopping corn and several days of odd
jobs.
Replacing the clutch went ok EXCEPT I
snagged the throttle rod when we were
rolling the front end away. Didn't think
much of it at the time, but when I hooked
it back up, I found out the lever on the
back side of the pump thatched throttle
rid attaches to got moved. The one
pictured is on a spare core I have. I
don't see any way to adjust it without
pulling the pump. Reading through the I&T
manual, it's a much more involved
procedure than pulling and replacing a
rotary pump on a 3 cylinder. Do I need to
follow the whole process if neither the
pump or engine will be turned while it's
out?

If the pump doesnt move when gear bolts are loosened and engine is not turned with off. Think just might go for it. Getting rite spline with clamp maybe the challenge.

Do it by the book or you will risk engine not running as it should. There's a scribe mark on the pump drive hub face that needs to be aligned with the stationary mark on the pump front cover about the 2 O clock position. The flywheel should be at 23 degrees BTDC when the pump marks align. Turn engine and align the pump marks first as pump turns one half engine speed. Setting the flywheel at 23 first there's a chance the pump marks won't align, and crank needs another turn.
