Good day fellow forum members. Spent all day today installing a new injection pump for my old Ford 335 and I seem to have run into a snag. To gain clearance when removing the old injection pump I remove the starter in order to get the injection pump out. Spent the day installing the new pump making sure all timing was set back to it was when I took the old pump off. Now that I have everything back together I go to put the starter back on and now I am short about a quarter of an inch clearance for the starter to fit flush due to it hitting the new injection pump. Has anyone else ran into this situation? If so are there any tricks to get around this situation?
