Ford 3000 Gas Fuel Pump Removal

First time working on a Ford 3000 Gas Tractor. We just had the Holley Carb professionally rebuilt and was going to install it, but noticed that the fuel pump isn't getting fuel to the carburetor, so more work and investigation is needed. Noticed that the fuel pump is leaking gas somehow.....need to remove it and investigate what is wrong. Can it be removed without taking off radiator? Tips or tricks?? I'm also going to blow back through all of the fuel lines.

First, check your oil, to make sure the pump isn't leaking into the crankcase. If your oil is high and/or smells like gas, the diaphram is
shot. If the oil is ok, take the small bolt out of the top of the pump. (5/16 wrench, if i remember right) THere's a screen in there that's
probably plugged.

That is what I was planning to do. There is also a reason that fuel is leaking out of that pump! Should I remove the pump from the engine to do so?

I went back to the tractor to get ready to clean the lines and diagnose the pump, and she magically was working. It pumped well. The pump still leaks around the top cover though. I snugged up the bolt and it slowed the heavy leak to a little more than a seep.

time for a new one.

Maybe. Haven't found one easily so I'm gonna let it go for now. Freight would be more than the gasket.

I've never done one of those but generally the piece that looks like a gasket is the diaphram that pumps the fuel.
