Muffler Keeps Popping Off

I had to replace the muffler and exhaust on my gas 3600. Ordered the kit from here and it came in two pieces. Installation was easy, but my problem is when I am in thick brush, the clamp isn't holding and the muffler keeps getting pushed off the exhaust pipe. Tried putting a few spot welds on it, but I'm no welder and that didn't work. I have been looking at exhaust clamp bands, but can't seem to find the 1 3/4" I would need. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

My first thought is to go vertical exhaust. That being said, support the muffler so it cannot move to come off the pipe.

Since you have a vertical pipe and go in brush a lot I would convert to a horizontal pipe. Any muffler shop has various elbows and adapters, and many have custom benders, so you can get whatever you need. You may need to fabricate a support.

I guess I didn't understand. I thought you had a rare underbelly exhaust that was being ripped off in heavy brush.
I didn't know the your brush was as high as a tree limb.
My apologies to Showcrop

First, is this horizontal or vertical? If welds didn't hold either you didn't prep right or need someone that can weld better, no offense.

It is a horizontal underbelly, and yes I believe I admitted my poor welding abilities in the original post :)
