I have two early Ford Diesels that need a complete engine overhaul- 7000, and a Super Major. I live in upper SC and am looking for someone with experience machining and reassembling these engines. I can deliver the engines anywhere within a day's drive of SC. Thanks for any suggestions. Good references are required.

I'd do the 7000 in a heartbeat, Major might be a little tougher to find someone with a lot of experience to do those. Not many dinosaur mechanics left. We have done numerous 2000 -7000 series- 2600 -9700 series and a bunch of 10 series with cavitation issues. Probably within 7-8 hours of you. But honestly, we like to have the whole tractor so we can do our own initial start-up and break them in on a dyno before they leave our shop.
