The original subject was Re: Ford Tractor Airplane Tug.

Could anyone with a Ford moto-tug parts manual supply me with the part numbers for the rear brake wheel cylinders, please?

I dont have a catalog, but Ford was notoriously cheap about making new, unique parts (especially for such a limited application) if there was something they could use that was already in their parts bins. I suspect Ford 1.5 Ton truck brake assemblies were used, just like the wheels that bolted to them.

Thank you. I think I have potentially identified the correct cylinders that were used on Ford 3/4 ton trucks between 1954-1965.

Hi RobertinSC. I assume you are talking about the BNO 2N based Mototug. Warbaby is right about Ford repurposing parts from other applications, but in this case, the brakes are totally different on the Mototug. They are a disc brake rather than drum. The part number for the complete top cylinder is BNO-1670 and BNO-1671 for the bottom. The Moto-tug parts manual is actually available free online in a PDF format on another N Tractor collectors site in their manuals section. Do a search for Moto-Tug Parts Price List June 1943 on the internet and it will come up as one of the hits.
