Ford 600 flywheel bolts

Anyone find a supplier for the longer flywheel bolts on the Ford 600 tractor with the single clutch? I see that this website sells the 0.8 inch bolts as does Steiner Tractor up here in Michigan. I see in the original parts manual that longer bolts are used on the single plate clutch. The first 3/4 inch of the bolts that I removed have no threads beneath the bolt head. It is listed as a 7/16-20 x 1.62 bolt in the book I have. I also understand that from my earlier note that no lock washers should be present but the ones I removed were a small head bolt with lock washers.

I also didn't have a ring (circle of metal) beneath the bolts but some tractors apparaently had that present. I'm less concerned with that as long as the bolts don't hit the block and I can get them torque.

thanks, Mike

Use 7/16-20 x 1 3/4 G8 and grind end to correct length. Have done in past. Cat may have that length, they have bolts in 1/8 increments

Often times "Special Shoulder" bolts are used on pressure plates. The extended shoulder goes through the PPA and into the flywheel a bit. This acts as a locating pin to hold the PPA. Typically, a bolt this short would not have a shoulder.

Even more often these bolts are lost / misplaced during a clutch change and regular short bolts (usually with split lock washers) are substituted. I have seen this many many times and never saw a problem associated with that.

Sometimes a longer, off the shelf bolt, with the correct length of shoulder can be trimmed to the correct overall length.
