TW-10 flat rear tire, how to remove the rim ?

Hey Guys,

I have got a flat tire on our TW-10, the tractor is new to us since a couple of years and I haven't had to remove a wheel on it.

I have jacked it up but I'm not sure what to do now.

It's got these 8 clamps on the cast iron center ring that hold the rim in place and make it possible to adjust the width.

If I loosen these clamps will I be able to get the rim with tire off from the cast iron center piece ?

Thanks a bunch,

I'd call a mobile repair service and have them fix it right where it sits. It would be easier for both them as well as you. And much safer for all as well.

Otherwise yes, you will need to remove the clamps, which would be my absolute last option. It will be a dangerous job, especially if the tire has calcium ballast in it.

I agree with Bern. Our local tire service
charges more to fix/replace a large tire
like that if it's off the tractor, since
it's more work and more dangerous.

My luck is that it would be a great assumption to assume that all 8 rusty bolts will come loose. And another great assumption that it will go back on and line up without a major ordeal.

I agree you are better off calling a mobile repair service.

The tire guys do them on the tractor. They don't need to be trying to fight the wheel at the same time as the tire.
