I'm new to tractors I have a ford 3000 gas with a 6 ft bush hog. When I cut
With it it will bogg down and almost stall the tractor. Has new plug and wire
New carb , clean tank and fuel fiter and alway fluid are full. Just don't know what to do.

Is it a new carb or rebuilt? Have you adjusted it for being under load?

Does it happen right away or after running for a bit? Are you running points? If so are they set correctly? And is your timing alright?

Another thing to check is the that the governor and throttle linkage and springs are all in their proper place and adjusted properly.

I agree with Sean. The governor on the 3-cyl. linkage is a real pain to get adjusted properly. Go through the whole procedure step by step according
to the OP manual.

you may need to fine tune to the tractor too. is it a zenith replacement? I tend to either find the original and rebuild it or send it out to be rebuilt will give better results. but you will need to fine tune it most likely for fuel, I believe there is a procedure for it being underload. and its going to be a little trial and error adjusting

It's a aftermarket carb I'm using now. I havent fine tune carb with a load on it.
Didn't know u had to do that.lol . The original carb was a holly.

If it doesn't say Zenith on it then it's most likely a Chinese knock-off of a Zenith, and those can be hit-or-miss in their ability to run properly.

Start with turning the main jet with small like 1/4-1/2 turns to see if it gets better. The tractor will have a different setting than what its set to now I'm sure. You also have to experiment, you won't hear it until WOT and a good load on it. so you may need to keep trying. if you get to a point where its not fixing it, you may have another issue.
