NAA was the true model name for both the 1953 and 1954 model years. Since 1953 was the Ford Motor Company's 50th anniversary, which is also called a "Golden Jubilee", they put a Golden Jubilee emblem on the nose of the 1953 tractors and used the name in their marketing.

That is interesting, but not mentioned in any of the references that I have. Where did you find out about that? The parts drawings do not list any different part numbers for the two years in terms of the individual gears in the transmission.
 
I believe that the reverse gear ratio was changed with the introduction of the NAA (Jubilee) for the 53 model year.

Yes, I see differences between the 8N and NAA gears, but not between the two years of the NAA production.
