I have a 2000, on the farm we call it the Dexta but I'm not sure if it's a plain 2000 or a Dexta 2000 if there ever was one. 6D18C, F23 6, B*042211* Stamped behind starter mounting hole, it's gas and I am wondering about point gap and spark plugs plus year and model and where it was made. We use it quite a bit nd it's not starting the best. Does the FO-31 I&T shop manual cover it?

1966 Ford 2000 built at Basildon. During those early years it was called a Dexta 2000 which kept it in the mind of farmers over here that it was an improved version of the previous models. We had Dexta 2000, Super Dexta 3000, Major 4000 and Super Major 5000.
To really confuse things over there they called the earlier Dexta a 2000 and the earlier Super Major a 5000.
