Adding air conditioning

I would like to add air condition to my 7710. Only has heat option from factory. Am I better finding a roof mounted unit and find an aftermarket pump to plumb in? Or can I buy all the factor parts for this to work?

I would go towards a roof mount, because other than the compressor and hoses it would be self contained. A common problem with tractor AC units is keeping the condensate pan drain from plugging with mud from all the dust that gets in it.

Two problems with purchasing all the individual parts you would need: 1) They would be obscenely expensive, and 2) most of them wouldn't be available from NH anyways. You'd have to find a donor tractor to make that option viable.

Since you have the working fan and heater in the roof... you can buy the evaporator and expansion valve from a&I so it would fit like a glove and work perfectly... then make generic hoses and tubing for the rest...., use a generic condenser, but use a round compressor and stay away from the older style york or tucumseh style compressors. fabing up a compressor mount will be the only challenge, but there is a sanden upgrade kit out there that might help there.

Sanden would be the only way I would go, add a high pressure cut out switch.

Run from a Tube And Fin Condenser if using 134A chose a Parallel Flow are Serpentine flow condenser.
