4cyl 4000 Generator Warning Light wiring

I have a 6v gas 4000 (4cyl) and finally go around to ordering a replacement for my generator warning light. It had been disconnected (and painted over) before I got to it, and cannot find a good schematic or diagram of where it gets wired up for the original 6v configuration. Plenty of 12v conversion, but the best I found for 6v configuration with the light (not the ammeter, only one low quality image) appears to have one leg at the armature terminal of the regulator and the other at Key On Power. Is that correct?

Thanks for the help- Mike

I'm thinking that if you hooked it up to
the same terminals as the 12V generator
diagram it would work. One side to
armature on regulator, other side to
ignition on.

Yes, that is correct and as Andy said, connection same as on 12v.
