1958 861D Rebuild

My 861d rebuild is nearly completed only a few things to finish up, I've only run it once in the yard without the tin on to make sure the engine I rebuild ran smoothly with no problems and it did .
So after getting all the body panels on and it being a beautiful day I took it out for a test drive, all is good no smoking once the engine warmed up.
I even went to the local supermarket to pickup some coffee, lot's of people taking pictures it was fun.
I learned quite a bit about that machine right here on this forum going through all the older posts, I am very grateful to many of my fellow forum members for their knowledge, very grateful!
As I pulled into the store parking lot I saw a couple of guys in their 80's I think
and they smiled , that alone made it all worth the hard work...

Beautiful job!! I am glad to see the red starter, the new front lug nuts and your shades of red and gray look just right. This job is deserving of a full suite of decals from George Bradisch. He has one that is special for a diesel that wraps around the fuel filter and makes it look like a filter sold in 1960.

Thanks showcrop it was a great project I thoroughly enjoyed.
Still more to do but all small things head lights, rear drums and lug nuts, air intake and brake springs.
Paint is all cnh with hardener and two coats of clear coat w/hardener, it has 30 psi oil pressure hot (190*) at idle and the generator will be red !
I forgot to mention that I did look at George's decals for this tractor ( his being highly recommended) and plan on purchasing them.
If I remember correctly (I'll have to look up the post here) that it was the early xx1 diesel's that actually had the word diesel in the decals and later on just xx1 powermaster. - I think....

Thank you :D, I haven't really thought about it yet but if someone made a honest offer I might think about it.

(quoted from post at 06:27:15 05/05/22) Looks great! Love those before & after pics!
I had an 8N w/similar front tires that were made in Russia!
Thanks Lynn :D I'll have to take a look and see where they did originate from,
the ones on my 8n are very similar as well.
Congratulations on your jube purchase, looks good and appears to be intact!
