FORD 3000 REAR TIRES

I have a Ford 3000 that currently has 13.6-28 tires that are pretty worn out and wish to put 14.9-24 tires. I have the rim's with the center hub and my question is what do i need to make the 14.9-24 tires fit.

You can buy used or new center discs (they should be the standard 4 1/4" center hole, with the 6" 8 bolt lug pattern). Then a set of 24" six loop wheels. The 12" wide wheels are very easy to find.

It might be feasible to buy the 24" wheels & cut the old 28" centers down & weld them on (others will know more than me on that).

You could always try & sell your old 28" centers & 28" wheels to recoup some of your costs.

Not only will you be slower but you will lower your drawbar. Stick with your current size or go up one size if you need more tire. Only if you are using a roto tiller will you gain anything by going to a smaller tire.
