Ford 3600 vs 3910 gearbox differences?

I am getting the opportunity to learn far more about small Ford tractors than I ever thought I would. We have a 3910 at work that has developed a leak (transmission oil) from the bell housing. Thinking the input shaft seals had failed I split the tractor only to find the tube the throwout bearing rides on is split open (roughly at the 12 oclock position) and the front cover of the transmission is also split from the center to the top bolt hole. Removing the input shaft shows the pto drive gears are badly mangled and removing the shift cover has revealed at least one transmission gear to be missing pieces. We have a (we think) good gearbox out of a 3600. Both tractors are 8 speed. How much is common or different between the two? Thanks, Sam

3910 is the inboard brakes and heavy axle. Hydraulic pump is internal.

3600 is outboard dry drums. Hydraulic pump is mounted to the engine.

Neither tractor actually has a pto as theyre both in a specialist application. Thanks.

Going have to use everything from engine back including flywheel and put plate on hyd pump cavity. Steering doesnt change.
