Ford/NH Hubcap ?

I need to remove a couple front hubcaps from a late 2wd 3930. They seem stuck, but a regular wrench doesn't fit them right and the metal seems thin and soft. Is there a better tool or a trick to remove the hub caps without destroying them in the process?

No guarantees on not destroying them. Use an adjustable wrench get it tight on the square give it a little tap with a rubber mallet. Should be normal right handed thread. May work or may need to replace them. Have seen heavier cast type ones used on 1000 series hubs, could be worth a look
and definitely grease the threads before these or new ones go back on. All the best.
 

Used a pipe wrench to take mine off last year to repack the bearings
It was pretty snug it the start but loosened up pretty quick once it started moving
