Anybody know who made front end loaders back in the 50s
I have a 1955 640 with a loader but the I'd tag is unreadable.
I will try to post a picture of it later.

Wagner was prevalent then, but there are others, plus the one arm variant like the Ford 711. Photo will help.
No support on Wagner for a long time, but mainly straight forward hydraulics etc. Some time ago, I found a pdf of a Wagner model for 600-800 ford tractors, off the current web site if I recall, they had a section recognizing their past work, they mainly fabricate architectural products now. I have a '54 640 with a one arm loader, that our dealership sold new and we took in on trade and sold again in the early 70's, was a nice find for a Ford tractor aficionado.

The tag is on the lower arm by the brake pedal and it has the numbers 800 and 1996 stamped in it but nothing else.
The bucket drifts pretty bad so I need to reseal the cylinders and add power steering.

Hi NashRanch,

I just purchased a Superior Loader that came off a D15 AC. Do you have any ideas where a fellow might find a manual or parts catalog for these loaders?

Thank you,
Jeff

I have no clue Jeff where to get a manual. I have lots of pictures of it if you need any for reference.
