Yup, everything cost more these days, but this seems a tad excessive!

After somewhat overestimating the value of his tractor, he goes in the opposite direction and woefully underestimates the weight of that ''300 pound'' rear counterweight, and the entire tractor/loader.

Still, not a bad looking machine...

I bet that weight is closer to 1000# than it is to 300# and the package should be closer to 3 than it is to 4.
 
Looks like maybe a mute! Look the differential over. That seems to be from a 801/4000 series housing! Maybe the $4000 isn't to far out of line.
 
Yes, he's still at the top of the price range that tractor will bring, even after a $396,000.oo price drop!
 
It looks in rather nice shape, a survivor, not many of them left. Its a light duty Industrial, most likely a later 2030 possibly 1962. I'm going by the colors and the rear axle (it has nubs in the center). It would have had the larger power steering and axle, with the foot pedal. It appears to be correct, even the spacing between the steering wheel and dash would indicate a 2000 or 60X series. Location is a big part of the price, I most likely would not drive by this twice. As far as price, I have sticker shock on most items at the grocery store and by next week $7,900 might be a great deal on this. It will most likely retain more value than money in the bank, stocks or bonds in the foreseeable future. This is the line I use on the wife. Thank you for bringing this, I love looking at tractor porn!
