Jubilee gas tank

Who sells the best replacement gas tank for an NAA? Got a big rusty spot and holes on top and now a hole somewhere underneath. A full tank disappeared in a couple of days. Decided to pull the tank as it is pretty rusty inside. Time for a new tank I think.

All I can say is buy a lottery ticket and hope you win.

Reason being that most of what I've bought for my Renovation is sub standard or didn't fit.

Looked at very many gas tank suppliers. (All Jubilee part number correct). All showed the same pictures so I went' with the least expensive $186.25 free shipping that DID NOT include the rear bracket. I figured why buy from a vendor that includes the rear bracket (more money) since I alreay have my bracket in excellent condition. SORRY, it don't fit due to the stamping of the new Reprod tank. Had to cut out a section of the tank bracket and reweld. PLUS, the holes front to back is about 3/4" different so I had to elongate my heat shield holes too.

Also. My original tank is galvanized whereas the new is not and painted with a very cheap primer. You can scrape it off with a fingernail. Get a tank that includes a new bracket. Hopefully it will fit. My 2.

I bought one from tractorpartsasap.com. It was cheaper to buy through their ebay store than direct from them. I think the tank was $130. Fit fine with no
problems. This site is owned by tractorpartsasap.com. I'm guessing it's the same tank.

Good to hear you had success.

Did your tank come with the rear bracket ? And did you compare it to the original ?

Sorry last question: Was it for a NAA ?

I posted pictures of the difference between my original tank and rear mounting bracket and how I modified my bracket to fit the deeper radius between the tank flange and tank.

Hdonly, you don't have email enabled, I'd like to learn more about your grappler setup and sourcing. Is that a backhoe on the naa too?

Here is where I bought it: http://greens-machine.com/index.html

Yes, a three point backhoe on the back.

Hi ZehnX

Purely for what it's worth. I have a similar setup except the FEL is a Superior model W/single bucket tilt cylinder. My bucket is about his same size except for the two short legs on Lower L&R corners. Mine are slightly longer.

I don't have a grapple nor would one work as many of my logs are sometimes smaller Dia. I have a hook at the top of my bucket and use a medium link chain around any log once the legs are slightly under it, then fasten the chain to the hook, rotate the bucket and lift. Also a 5' blade on back and ballast in tires. I can't imagine what you could lift with that grapple and still be able to steer without difficulty. My FEL is heavy enough just by itself on my 53 TO-30

I have learned that my Jubilee steers fine with a load on the front if you just don't get in a hurry and try to muscle it around. I just keep steady pressure on the wheel in the direction I need to turn as I'm moving. It will steadily come around without that much effort.

Thank you!

My interest in the grappler is less about logs and more about all the dead Ash branches needing conversion to ash.

Hdonly does your loader control also have grappler control?

What is the make and model of your excavator?
I have an 841 and have been warned about getting oversized implements, so if that works on your NAA, it could work well on mine.

I just got the loader attached recently. The valves are leaking internally so I am replacing the two spool valve with a three spool valve to handle the grapple.
The backhoe is a TMI Hornet BH7600, I bought mine from "Tractor Man" but I think he is now out of business. I saw this one on Amazon that looks like the one I bought. https://www.amazon.com/Driven-Hydraulic-Backhoe-Excavator-Attachment/dp/B07T92KJZT

Nice pictures.

I should have opted for the tank w/bracket. I can see it appears to be slightly taller at the tank mount to the top. Plus your tank has the metal reinforcements at the corners. Mine doesn't. Sad.

My tank had minor rust near the fill neck, but the bottom bracket with the slot was fastened by some kind of epoxy or resin as it must have come loose at the welds. Plus it was galvanized. New one isn't.

Who was your ebay seller ?

I'm sorry to keep this going, but thought I'd add my woes.

Before I bought the lesser expensive tank, (all with the same part numbers), I saw some with the rear bracket like your ebay seller, and others with out it. I looked everywhere for information regarding this New Rear Bracket and wondering why someone would need it unless theirs was somehow lost or damaged. So I went with a tank that didn't have one included since my support was in good shape. Looking at your pictures is appears your bracket is slightly different to accommodate the apparent difference in tank manufacturing. SO OTHERS BE WARNED. Your old NCA-9097-B Support-Fuel Tank Rear will not fit on a New Replacement gas tank.

Glad I picked the one I did. Will see tomorrow when it gets here how well it all fits.

I'm going to guess you still have your original tank & Rear bracket, the one that bolts to the tank corners ?

If possible would you be able to take a picture of the old & new one side by side ?

Yes, I'll do that tomorrow.

New tank came in today. The new mounting bracket was identical to the old one on the Jubilee, so I just used the one already bolted to the tractor. The front mount on my tractor was homemade. I'm guessing that the old take bracket on the front came loose from the tank. No problem. I just took the homemade stuff off. The new tank bracket bolted to the tractor perfectly. Very happy with this tank. Good fit, price and quality $233.26 including shipping.

Thank you for taking the time to take those pictures.

It looks like you got the Rear Deal and I didn't. It's pretty upsetting that of all (many) websites, ebay and the web, they all had the same part numbers, but there is obvious differences in the construction. As you can see there is a big difference in the hole location in my new one and I also didn't get the reinforcing tabs that are welded in the corners like my original. Thanks again for the back and forth with me.

Wow. Looks like I picked the right seller. It was just by pure luck though. The paint on my tank is of excellent quality. Very good coverage and hard. No scratches through the paint even after I got it mounted.
