'74 Ford 5000 power steering is weak and leaks at the base of steering column where it mounts to tranny housing. Does this mean a seal or two are leaking higher on the column?

Leaks at the bottom of the housing are either coming from the oval shaped gasket on the RH side, or else from the piston guide peg in the rear. The first is an easy fix, the latter requires pretty much a complete teardown to repair.

Weak steering is usually a problem traced back to the pump.

I found it leaking at the guide pin at rear near bottom of column. Thanks
