The original subject was Re: solenoid for 12V conversion 641.

What is the proper wiring hook up for this solenoid? I'm replacing the solenoid on my 63 ford 2000(appears to be identical mechanically to my 641. Wanting to get this right the first time.

(quoted from post at 20:24:03 03/29/22) If the original solenoid is still working on 6 volts it should work fine with 12 volts.

The previous owners had a jacked up none factory solenoid on it. It was worn out and had to be jumped with a screwdriver in order to start the tractor. I'm trying to put it back to factory specs so I can start with the button instead of a screwdriver. I ordered the NAPA ST542 solenoid based on my research on here.
