Pity he also got the wrong exhaust, should be an oval one with offset pipes. Highline bonnet was on the early 2 and 3000 tractors, later ones were about 2 lower, much nicer looking tractor IMHO.

Nice tractor.
Don't we Wish ours were worth that much!
The high hood he mentions was the height setting of the tin. They only did that on the first year or so on 3000s. Note how close the cowel is to the steering wheel in this photo of his. Then have a look at yours.
The entire cowel, side hoods and nose are set
1 3/4 in. higher than ours.
He is incorrect about 1966 being the first year of production. It was 1965.
Also, his rears are nice but too big. Standard on a 3000 was 13.6x28.

I see now what you are saying about the hood Ultradog. I would like to get the wheel weights. I just can't find the right ones.

If you price a new tractor and price what it would cost to take a used tractor you buy for a few grand and pay someone to make it as nice as this one the price seems more realistic.

Agreed.... but I still wouldn't give that
much for a 3000.
But someone bid something like $48000 for
a restored 8000 on the Meccum auction
over the weekend.

Maybe he should put in there that "mad" Anthony Wayne would've driven it, had he just lived longer.

Well, that is not quite double what it sold for new. Back then a cup of coffee was a dime, and $300.00 was a good weekly wage.

I currently own 2 Ford 3000's and
have owned several of the 1000's
series over the years. Still no
way I would pay $12,000 for that.
If someone does I would sure like
to meet them!!! Lol

Probably the wife says "sell the tractor". So you list it for what you've got in it, which is so high, that no one is going to buy it. "I've got the tractor for sale honey, I swear..."

Nice looking, I'm in the area, and I wouldn't pay that. Wouldn't mine having a decent 3000 though.
