841 Parking Brake (workaround?)

My tractor does not have the parking brake hardware. I'll look for the original parts, but I can't imagine they'll be easily found. Does anyone have a workaround for this short of wheel chocks?
My land is flat, but I don't want my kids to be. Thank you!

I have a 641 and the brakes parts are all there but I never use it. I have theFEL and a grader box on the back and I lower them to the ground after I use the tractor. Probably a lot more secure than that parking brake!

The parking brakes are sure handy to have, but I try not to rely on them. My tractor got away from me once when I set the right brake (the left was stuck) and stepped off the right side of tractor, bumping the brake pedal and disengaging the parking pawl on the way down. I fixed the left brake after that, and am much more careful when I dismount with the brakes set and motor running.

Whenever possible, I rely on the implement to hold the tractor. If I don't have an appropriate implement mounted, I check to see that the tractor isn't going to roll from the spot where I park it, then leave it in gear.

Red Rocks Mfg. in Pella Iowa makes a reproduction hardware set. I Installed a set on my 860.
Works great. Its not listed on the web site so you have to call.

Such hardware should be readily available from a salvage tractor.

I bought and installed such on my 860 (since sold) a few years ago.

2X what Dean posted. People don't often use them so they never wear out. They never wear out so nobody goes looking for them so there are thousands of good sets in salvage yards.
