Ignition Switches

Got a question for the brain trust here. I've got two 3000 ford diesel tractors and one I'm working on to try and get running that needs an ignition switch. I've also got a 600 that needs one as well the one i put on a few years ago fell apart. My question is would you get 2 3000 switches and would that work on the 600 as well? I kind of like the idea of having one key for all of them. Thanks and by the way I might be needing some wiring advise! I've almost got my house ready to sell and move back to the country and i'm going to get all of my tractors back in good shape. It'll help me stay busy after losing my wife last year. Thanks.

If the 600 is still original in terms of the push button start switch down on the transmission cover, then don't connect anything to the "Start" position of the 3000 key switch when you install it on the 600. Just connect the "Run" position to the terminal block where the switched side of the old key switch connected and continue to use the push button start switch.
