Can someone tell me how to tell the difference between a high volume pump and the standard volume pump?

I know there were two options but I cannot tell from the Serial Number plate. It just tells me when it was built.

Thanks, Michael

There's no such thing as high volume and standard volume pumps. There was however at one time at least a standard hydraulic system with one pump, or an optional high flow system with two pumps. The second pump would have been installed on the back of the engine on the LH side.

This optional 2-pump system began with the 10 series tractors in 1981. I'm thinking that by the time the 30 series came out, that the two pump systems were pretty much standard, but don't quote me on that.

Bern has it right but the 2nd pump was still a option on the 30 series, you just saw more of them
3930 I parted out didn't have it and neighbors 4630 I'm working on doesn't
